Nissan Navara v Mitsubishi L200 by
Jim N
Hi,
I'm looking to purchase a Double cab 4x4 for business and also to use for
personal use.
I have been looking at the Nissan Navara and also the L200.
Does anyone have any info as to which is the best?
I am swinging in favour of the Navara at the moment though.

Stationary Running Engine by
PaulH
When keeping a turbo diesel engine running but the vehicle is
stationary, is it necessary to increase the revs? We were told to do
this in Kazakhstan where the temperature was -40 degC and indeed the
Toyota Hi-Lux had a manual choke style knob. Something to do with
lubrication I think.
True?

As far as I can discover, the Grand Vitara has no diff lock. Is this
an issue, or does it get around the problem of slip some other way?

When is the US going to get "real" Land Rovers? by

Why can't the US get Defender 90s, 110s and 130s?
Why can't we have diesel powered Landies?
And why doesn't the US military use the Defender as a basic, and
cheaper, vehicle for the average troops?

The U.S. Marine anti-terrorist unit uses the Mercedes G series. Works very
well for them. Not the landrover, but still it's nice to see them use

The main problem is that LR and Ford's marketing dept have trouble seeing
where they wouls fit in to the US market. They would be smaller than many US
pick-ups but would be more expensive to buy. They do not have the comfort
and luxury of a typical US pick-up and most of the market demands this. The
sheer utility of a...

When is the US going to get "real" Land Rovers? by
Peter
Because the average US motorist wouldn't be caught dead driving a diesel of
any kind, therefore most automakers don't bother trying to sell them. VW
and MB being execptions, but even they don't sell too many.
Also, the US government isn't going to spend US taxpayer's money to keep
British autoworkers employed, when they have their own workers to "keep
employed".
