The Safety of Defective Ford Door Latches by
kr0
It looks like Ford may have made a serious error in regards to the safety of
the door latches in a number of the vehicles they produce. It also appears
that Ford may have known of this and not done anything about the defect.
This has just recently come to public attention and the seriousness of the
safety of these vehicles has brought into question the connection of the
door latch defect with...

CB Mount in a Disco by
Paul S. Brown
I'm just wondering,
Where does anybody with a Disco 200 tend to mount the CB itself these days?
I'm trying to figure out something sensible, but all the options seem to be
a poor compromise.
AFAICT a previous owner had one screwed to the plastic on the passenger side
of the transmission tunnel, but I'd be worried about passengers losing legs
on the rig.

Check the sills under that plastic covering. Although not strictly MOT,
eventually it will rot out the inners and leave you with no seat belt

How important are tyres by
andy_welch@nospam.com
OK silly newbie question time again.
I posted a question a while back about the best soft roader for snow. To
recap I live in rural Aberdeenshire and am getting fed up with having to dig
the car out after getting stuck in the snow. happens at least a couple of
times a year. But I'm not interested in real offroad and drive around 20,000
miles on tarmac each year. So I'm thinking diesel (for the...

AC Servicing by
Budgie
Any ideas on how much an Air-conditioning service on a Shogun Pinin should
be? Local main dealer is quoting £54 + vat.
AC is still working, but doesn't seem as frigid as I remember it!

Next weird SJ413 problem . . . by
Lurch
OK . . . having bit by bit sorted the various little niggles the
hesitant pick up and occasional petering out of the power when driving
still remained.
Ha! I thought, pump out the tank in case there is water or rust
flakes in there. So, I connected up my electric fuel transfer pump to
the fuel supply pipe at the fuel pump, stuck output pipe into Jerry
and switched on.
The connnection and...
