Nissan Navarro/a (?) as driven by bullies by tommy[_3_]
Anyone had a good laugh at the vehicle favoured by small traders as it looks butch and MUST be safe - getting ONE STAR (and that was qualified) in the NCAP test results. Its often been said that getting only one (or ws it 2) stars was the final nail in the Metros coffin :) LOL

Ford Explorer - dangerous nutter by Sussex-concern
I had the bad luck to come across a complete nutter driving an Explorer yesterday. S147LFL was driven with complete abandon - he just assumed others would slow down or get out of his way! corners were cut, roundabouts were "straightened" Where are the Police when you need them - cameras just allow people to get away with dangerous driving

Buyers warning for new Land Cruiser V8 TDi with 6sp automatic transmission by Willem-Jan Markerink
Seems to be a structural defect in the programming (or even design) of both shifting and lockup system, leaving both 6th gear and lockup out until 120km/h, resulting in annoying high rev's & much higher fuel consumption.. Some discussed he http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/100scool/message/11215 (only after subscription, sorry....;)) (there is a 130/140scool list in that hierarchy too, but...

girly drivers and 4*4s by Tommy
As much as I love all cars It does not make me blind to the fact that the girlys in atrocious weather (as it was today) - pelting rain, deep puddles, water thrown up making visibility real poor do NOT put on even their side/parking lights - Why? There are atleast 3 "types" Girlys in 4*4s (they feel safe so don't actually think!)

Tata Safari Diesel pump by George[_3_]
I have been offered a Tata Safari (suitably cheap) and following adverse comment, I would like to know what experience shows to be the weakest points. What about the engine/fuel system. I am looking for a cheap car that will pull a heavy trailer and run on biodiesel. Does anyone know what the injection pump actually is? It looks big enough and I can throw scrap in the back, etc....
