Buyers warning for new Land Cruiser V8 TDi with 6sp automatic transmission

Default Buyers warning for new Land Cruiser V8 TDi with 6sp automatic transmission

Seems to be a structural defect in the programming (or even design) of both shifting and lockup system, leaving both 6th gear and lockup out until 120km/h, resulting in annoying high rev's & much higher fuel consumption..

(synopsis: neither Toyota Australia/Austria/Europe/Japan have any clue, other than being a master in ignoring client complaints, and at least one vehicle is now back at the dealer, with a 2-month deadline being set for solving the problem, or taking the vehicle back)

(a transmission expert down under stated that only massive client pressure/complaints worldwide would force Toyota in changing anything....as usual)
