Keep it up! Indeed. Just shows that there's still plenty of people out there who don't have a clue what to pay for a car. If they'd have had any sense they'd have bought an infinately preferable Focus Estate for less money. It's funny how, when we pull someone up on their price on here, it *always* sells a few days later for near enough the asking price.... But I'm a cynical old git these days. The value of an item is not what someone else values it at. Its value is what it sells for. And I've certainly sold some old sheds for way more than *I* would have paid for them. But that's not the point. The value of anything is what someone is willing to actually pay for it. (period/full stop, depending upon your big pond left or right mind set.) |

It allegedly happens far too often for it to be down to numpty buyers. I think it's more likely to be people coming back trying to prove us all wrong. The Fiesta Centre in reading wanted 4K for a 2001 escort estate with 3OK on
the clock. It has now gone! All their escorts are pricey. regards, Steve "Dean Dark" wrote in message ... On Thu, 22 Feb 2007 23:11:27 +0000, (SteveH) wrote: I don't know *anyone* who would pay £2k for an Escort. Assuming that nobody is telling porkie pies, you do now. |
