Sold today £2700 shows what you know about the second-hand car market ! I just love the way people come back with this one. Almost _every_ time someone comments on the value placed on a car being too high, the day after it's 'ha! I sold it for that today'. I often wonder how much truth there is in it. And they got an absolute bargain. They got shafted, if the buyer isn't fictional. It sometimes happens, I've sold cars for more than they're worth before now, but if you're posting in here, then you're open to being abused over sky-high asking prices. -- Steve H 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' http://www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - MZ ETZ300 VW Golf GL Cabrio - Alfa 75 TS - VW Passat 1.8T 20V SE - COSOC KOTL BoTAFOT #87 - BoTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC # |

Actually that seems a perfectly fair price for anyone looking for a decent example of one of these. With only 69k on the clock, it's a relative youngster, and providing it actually is in "really good condition" as the seller described, that sets it apart from the usual abused 150k+ high milers you often see for sale. If it were me, I'd want a full BMW service history for that price though. |

However, it's the relatively gutless and slow 520. My brother had one. Pensioner transport, IMHO. £2750 isn't far off E39 money. -- Steve H 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' http://www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - MZ ETZ300 VW Golf GL Cabrio - Alfa 75 TS - VW Passat 1.8T 20V SE - COSOC KOTL BoTAFOT #87 - BoTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC # |
