Most residential electric users like YOU can receive anywhere from $25 to $200 a month in free electricity just by completing a simple application for it over the phone, or even online in some cases! Since eligibility has nothing to do with income levels most applicants are normally approved quickly and easily. YOU can be receiving FREE ELECTRICITY within 30 days! http://xrl.us/freepower

My sons' 1997 Fiesta came with a black and a red key. I understand that the red key can be used to program the immobiliser chip in replacement black keys. The drivers door lock and boot lock are both dodgy, even after lubrication. I bought a complete new lock set (both doors, ignition, boot and petrol cap) on eBay with the intention of using the new locks but matching them to the old keys...

Just been to look at this for the daughter, 57k miles, but n/s sill rusted through. Vendor to try to get it patched, but I am worried the rest of the sills may go soon, perhaps not undersealed properly? Anyone know if these cars prone to rotting so young? Hello Group, I've been having an occasional misfire recently. It doesn't happen on every journey, but when it does it's like a learner kangaroo-hopping, and just lasts a couple of seconds. It doesn't happen across the rev range, only between idle and about 2,500 revs. Above 2,500 it doesn't happen. I can blast down the motorway and it never occurs. My mileage is limited to short journeys,...

'94 525i E34. 180k Pretty certain that a rattle on starting from cold that lasts for a few minutes is coming from the single VANOS, rather than from the hydraulic cam followers. Apart from the startup rattle the engine seems in excellent condition. Pulls well. Quiet, and needs no oil between oil changes. I could probably do the job myself, but would rather have it done

My daughter has an astra, which has central locking by the key, not remote. A strange thing is happening to it. About 1 time out of 10, the drivers door lock won't work. The key won't turn, it feels solid, I won't force it. After all, it's an M reg car, you expect a bit of stuff going wrong. This bit isn't the thing that's confuzzling me though. I simply go round to the passenger side and...

I have a L reg MX-6 2.5 V6, it has a 'they all do that sir' fault with the distributor which is going to cost me at least £100 to fix. It is out of MOT, though it should pass without too much trouble as it has done VERY little work since it's last one. Cosmetically it's a good example, but given lack of time, the fact that the car is worth little and fuel prices I can't decide whether to just...

On Sunday I shall be picking up what certain people consider to be a slightly tuned VW beetle... And because I'm a firm believer in the quality of German engineering (or just plain daft), I'll be taking said vehicle to Germany and France. Oh well, the insurance *does* include breakdown cover. I'm a bit of an imposter on this group as my DIY car maintenance days are long since gone. However there may be someone out there who can advise me. Yesterday I was driving our X reg Fiesta when suddenly I was unable to get all the gears. There was no warning and no crunching sounds or anything like that. I stopped at some lights and when I pulled away I had all the gears again. Shortly...

Had a go in the 750i tonight - he got it home today. It's been a while since I drove a decently large engine and I had forgotten what it feels like. Not that I've ever driven anything larger than a 3.5 before. I've driven underpowered petrol engines for a couple of years now and do occasionally hanker after the lazy grunt of a turbo diseasal. TD engines maybe do feel grunty after a normally...

Hi I couldn't find a recent post on this problem so I will make a new post : ** My '98 Passat (1.8 20v estate) battery goes flat if left parked for 2-3 days. ** If I drive it every day - no problems. As soon as it is not driven the battery goes so flat it can barely light the dashboard lights.

Hi all, my diesel Transit (N reg 160k miles 2.5 litre) just failed the MOT on its emissions. I've been told that the 30% cooking oil in the fuel may have been the problem. Other than using this up and filling with fresh diesel, is there anything else I can do to try and get it through the MOT? Cheers

I'm removing the cat from the Chimaera, which required a EPROM change in the ECU. TVR (in their infinite wisdom) have different cat/none cat chips, which is daft as you are supposed to just change the tune resistor to select the correct map. I've officially decided that I hate exhuasts. Both cars are suffering with problems, and both are causing me headaches. The SD1 has a strange raspy/metallic knocking noise (hard to describe) when you hit about 3.5krpm. It's been suggested than a slight exhaust blow early on in the system could cause such a noise, so I've been taking it all apart and replacing downpipes and gaskets. The...

Decided it was time to fit the new glow plugs in my Peugeot 306D this morning, unfortunately the 4th one refused to budge and since patience eluded me I've rounded the nut off it. Hi, A mate's diesel BMW 320d on a 52 plate has just had it's engine rebuilt by a 3rd party garage after cambelt failure and we reckon it's running really badly. My OBDII scanner connects to it OK and shows 3 fault codes: P0C38 C2B18

So, today, my mate comes round, and whizzes the bottom off the engine to take a look at exactly what's happened. After a half an hour or so, he comes in muttering "you lucky ******* ... My 94 corolla with 105 K miles on the clock developed a tapping/clicking sound; which to me in my ignorance sounded like a tappet or small end. So it's round to our local ' Mr Whiz', who listens, listens more, revs up and listens some more. Then he whips out the WD-40, sprays it at the alternator.... Noise gone, smiles all round, and off I go. Perhaps someone might educate a novice about...
