Sierra 1.8CVF 1990. Just found a good one and got it running, but there isn't a connecting plug that goes into the crank position sensor and wire cut back to where it goes into the loom. I've bodged a connection for now and all working, but does anyone know an online source where I could get a new plug Tried ebay, but no luck so far. Paul J

Up for auction at the end of this month - no less than 11 cars built by Andy Saunders. Cars for sale include the latest version of "Mini Ha-Ha", the Picasso Citroen 2cv, his Bentley Mulsanne "Mentley Innsane", a 50cm-high Fiat 126, a 1metre-high VW camper and the Ford X-2000 concept design which Ford never built but Andy Saunders did, using just a few photographs. My 14 yr old Citroen TD (65k miles on clock) has 2 problems: 1. Heating in cabin stopped working a few months back (though fan works) 2. Radiator fan now cuts in after only a few miles and keeps running for several minutes after I stop (though dial indicates low temperature, no overheating). Any ideas for diagnosing and fixing would be gratefully received. I assume they are two separate...

Can anyone tell me when the cambelt is due on a 2002 Fiat Doblo 1.9 JTD ELX? Parkers says it's a 100bhp model. Also, what kinda price should I expect the belt change to cost - and what parts aside from the belt are required/recommended, such as tensioners, rollers, waterpump etc? I'd be very grateful if anyone knew for sure as, I'd look in the manual but it's a second hand car we're looking...

My 02 Civic has a bit of slack in the drivers seat - it moves a bit under acceleration and braking. I had a mod whilst under warranty - which fixed the problem but it has returned. I suspect a worn bush on the height adjustment. Does anyone have experience of how to fix this?

Is there an aftermarket cd/radio with a display remote from the main player? I have dash space for a headunit (although DIN-E might be a bit big and I'd prefer something slimmer), but I _dont_ have sufficient room behind the dash to accommodate it. I could simply mount the whole thing under the drivers seat and fumble about to swap stations, but I'd prefer something that had a small display...

They upped their game for the second episode. I enjoyed that as much as I enjoy an average-quality British Top Gear. Now that's an achievement. How predictable that they never settled the Ford vs Holden debate. The new Falcon looks a bit er, whale like from the side doesn't it! A long time ago I seem to recall reading an article which stated that LPG took far more energy to refine, transport and store as a useable vehicle fuel than petrol or diesel. Coupled with it's lower energy density than petrol or diesel which can result in a higher comparable fuel consumption, the article indicated that although using LPG improved air quality it actually used more fossil fuel...

I was following a tarted up hatchback the other day and it was producing the weirdest exhaust smells. Definitely not diesel and I don't think it was down to a knackered cat. It smelt exotic & aromatic and made me wonder if someone was running their car on some sort of illicit petrol substitute (not that I know of any) or at least pepped their fuel up with something exotic. Not much of...

To save a bit of money on fuel, I have bought an old Cleo Diesel. I have heard people say these may be run on a wide range of fuels, but it depends on what fuel pump you have? How can I tell? What fuels can I use? Someone said something about fuel oil, that seems a little unlikely but very cheap and convenient if true. The car was very cheap, so I am not too worried about any damage I may do...

Not all the time necessarily but in various different automatics that I've driven, if reverse is selected there is usually a perceptable "thunk" through the drive train.
