Good People I have been offered a 1999 V70 diesel estate for Practically Nothing. I took it on a jaunt to Cornwall last week and it was very nice to drive. But ... what are they like for maintenance? I had a 240 before which was pretty straightforward, but I suspect that the V70 is significantly more complicated. Any experiences or advice?

By the name Dynolicious, available from the app store or elsewhere if you have a Jailbroken phone/ipod no doubt. It uses the built in accelerometers to do all the fun things a G-Tech type device dose (0-60, 1/4 mile) and a nice little display in skid pan mode of how many G's you are pulling, it's no GTR screen replacement but if you have an ipod touch or iphone at $13 it's quite a bit...

I'm possibly looking to change cars at some point in the future. I'm probably interested in an estate as sometimes I have to carry large amounts of Stuff (like a sideboard). But I don't do it that often, so I want something that's reasonably fuel efficient when there's just me and some fresh air in it. (Hiring a bigger vehicle when necessary isn't a sensible option). Awkwardly, a short...

Gentleman... I appreciate we're scattered all over the UK (and beyond), but would any of you be interested in a UKRCM rolling road day down at the dyno I help out at? The dyno is down in deepest Kent. If I can get a minimum of ten of us up for it, I can get us a rate of £30 per car, and for this you get two runs on the dyno and a nice shiny wipe clean laminate printout of the results.

I regularly read Honest John's pages in the Telegraph and I have noticed that he nearly always recommends people buy a Hyundai or Kia. Is he a main dealer for Korean cars or on their payroll? Or are all his readers on their last legs and want a dull car whose warranty is longer than their own expected longevity and therefore have no concerns about depreciation?

My son bought a Ford Puma with a six-month warranty. A couple of days later(!?) the sump plug came out, presumably because it had not been tightened up at the last service. The Latter Rain... Salvation comes from God, whom the Bible calls as the Living God and Savior. God is employing a human being in order for His will to be fulfilled ... and that is the salvation of man. Our Lord Jesus Christ will bring two kinds of salvation, through the Bible. At the time He assumed human form, He saved Israel from its sinfulness. That is written in Matthew 1:21, which says-

The usual failure mode is that the car runs rich. But can they fail to make it run weak? I have a regular customer with an old cavalier 1,8 injection (single cam engine) I see the car every year for a service and MoT, for the last few years it has had a splashy misfire at low speed, which has very little effect on driving it, and he doesn't find it a problem, so I have just ignored...

My daughter's 1997 Ford Escort 1.4 with fuel injection seems to have lost a lot of power over a fairly short period of time. I did a test drive and although it's drivable it certainly struggles, especially uphill. Some thoughts: - It starts OK and idles reasonably well, without hunting. - As the engine speed is increased, the power just isn't there. - It is not the clutch slipping or the...
