Hi,

My dad's speedometer has stopped working, garage quoting nearly £500
to fix... (Plus the £64 to do a diagnostic check and confirm that
it was broken!)

Anyway, I'm assuming it's a stepper motor or linkage to the needle
that has gone as the odometer and cruise control work fine. Searching
the net gave some hints, but no clear solution.

As a first step, does anyone know how to get the speedo unit off to
have a look?
