When I bought a Daimler I paid £400 for an HPI check and a motor
engineers report. I was fairly glad that I paid for it - although it was
HPI clear the rot that the engineer uncovered would have required £3,000
(minimum) to fix. I paid again when I found another one and that was
well worth the cash.

Flinching at paying £20 for an HPI report seems a tad on the
SnapTiteWallet(TM) side.
