No, the knocking comes as I turn the wheel - it's more of a loud
clicking, really - maybe 8 or 9 irregular clicks as I turn the wheel. I
can't hear anything as I move without actually turning the steering wheel.
Could be the top mounts then, yes. Check the spring seats too.
