At the last MOT of my 2000 2.0 Cabrio, I had a warning that the top
steering mounts were showing signs of play. I'm now getting a knocking
from the steering when turning from lock to lock and at low speeds. The
car had a new steering rack 20k ago, so I'd like to think it's not that.
Would worn top mounts cause the noise? Any other hints as to what it
might be? Advice and thoughts greatly appreciated.
