Default Selling cars on eBay - best day/time for auction to finish?

In article ,
says...

snip

Anyway someone asked me for a "buy-it-now", so I told them they could have
it for £150. They then told me know they were thinking more like £75, so I
decided there was no point continueing. I let the auction complete and it
fnished at £145

Just beware of the "buy-it-now" brigade

I agree (in fact I agree with most of what has been said)

When I sold my NSX, I had a LOT of insulting offers from people who
believed my car was only worth around 14 grand or less. I started off
replying to them, but just ignored them after a few days.

My experience of ebay...
My first ebay auction was a 10 day ending on a sunday night, starting at
a quid but with a 15,995 reserve. It went up to 13,100 in the end and I
didn't sell at that price.
My second auction was a 10 day ending on a sunday night, starting at
15,995 with a buy it now for 16,995. Halfway through the first week I
was offered the 16,995 by a couple who saw the car on ebay.

If I had started a 1 pound, no reserve auction in the first place, would
I have got the same price? I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have, but the NSX
is a rare car and quite a high value for an ebay auction, so probably
benefitted from a different approach
