ford screwed up on the spec for the seats/valves, is my guess. They've
apparently started retro-fitting heads to petrol-powered ones...
Mind, I don't for sure know which engines are affected - not all of them
are. I *thought* it was mostly 1.8 focus engines, but then again, they
may
share the same head as the 1.6
The 1.8 and 2.0litre BLACK TOP Zetec-E engines definately require flashlube.
Pre 98 Silver tops are fine without.
The 1.25/1.4/1.6/1.7 Zetec S/ SE engines are advised to have flashlube.
