Default LPG Adaptor for Ireland

On or around Thu, 28 Aug 2003 22:58:03 +0100, "Steve Thomas"
enlightened us thusly:

Just come back from a weekend in Ireland where I soon realised that the LPG
pumps had a different fitting to the UK, but not like the "flat plate"
design I understand is used in France. The guy in the garage knew about the
problem but didn't have an adaptor.

Luckily petrol is cheaper over there so I wasn't too bothered for a weekend,
but I do travel to Ireland regularly so I need to sort it out.

Can anybody advise me what sort of adaptor I need, and where I can get one
from ?

ACME screw type, same as the old systems in this country. should be
available from your friendly local LPG specialist... depending on which
type of filler you have...

ACME screw is actually the thread form, but they're a standard size.
forget what, something like inch-and-five-eights...

check out the Irish LPGA site, it'll tell you.
