Reason I ask is because I have a 4.2 that needs some work so will be a
while off the road. I could buy the 3.4 to tootle around in for a while
and eventually sell/use it for spares.

I haven't gotten to drive the 3.4 yet, hence the question. Opinions
appreciated.

Performance is OK but it has to rev a lot more -- not good for the timing
chains also watch the oil pressure and service history.
