I wanted to get some screenwash (green) solution, In the past I am
lead
to
believe the 99 onwards VW use some 'thinner' solution that does not
clog
the
jets, anyways VW is shut today, are there any alternative brands to
use?
TIA
I use Halford own brand, non dillute and rated down to minus 8, good
for
clearing frost and ice off the windscreen easily.
I got some oe yesterday, had to get 3* 500ml cos i never had any cash
was
2.46ukp and vw didn't accept card payment below 5ukp :-(
I have the fan spray nozzles and was informed by a non vw employee that
the
other stuff can clog the nozzles, trouble is already the rear nozzle is
hardly pumping up the screen after only 8k5 miles :-( it's not frozen
btw.
The halfords stuff is thin anyway so no clogging problems there. Its nice
to
see people in the car park at night scraping their windows off while I
sit
there and spray for a few seconds.
Can heated washer jets be post fitted easily (and at a reasonable
price ) ??
Robert
Well not sure about that one, I am assuming heated washer jets won't heat
the water in the tubes which would freeze anyway.
