Help please. Golf Mk2 keeps stopping
I had a mrk1 derby Colin done exact same thing. When i checked it, it turned
out it was a filthy fuel filter. I changed it and had to give the carb a
good clean, also had to fill up tank 2 or 3 times there-after before it was
completely gone. I would say since u replaced most of the electrics its the
fuel lines left to check. How often do u run the car with as little petrol
in it as possible ( tell the truth lol )
Essexgirl
p.s. just changing the fuel filter doesnt get rid of it straight away. it
stops the carb from getting starved of fuel tho and getting more dirty
petrol thru it. other than that i would start looking at the fuel pump

Cleaning the sensor may not fix the problem as you have said your
problems
have been intermittent and at different distances and time intervals.
I have replaced the HT leads, distributor, rotor arm and spark plugs.
Still
problem persists.
