Default Help please. Golf Mk2 keeps stopping

I've got the same problem as Colin, but mine is a 95 golf, 2L GL.
I've replaced the fuel pump and relay, distributer, computer relay and
ignition switch and a computer analysis doesn't show anything up and the
problem still persists. Is there anything relating to emission controls?

Hi,

Continuing saga of my 1990 golf...

The current symptoms a- The car always starts first time, after about
10 miles running, when it reaches normal operating temperature, the car
looses power and starts 'missing'. Eventually the car stops.

Funnily, if I turn off the engine, wait a few seconds, and re-start, the
car is fine afterwards.

Perculiar?

(I do not think that it is a choke problem as I checked the choke flap
this morning when I had the problem and it was in the open position.)

I don't suppose anyone has experienced this problem in the past? ...and
better still, fiound a solution.

(This is almost the opposite problem that I had the other day.)

TIA Colin
