My imported golf came without a radio and i fitted one myself using a
loom adaptor (the radio manual mentioned dimmable display lighting and
i thought the loom might sort it out without me having to spend an age
fiddling - it didnt). As i understand it the roof mounted aerial is
powered - is this connected as part of the loom or is the power lead
for it lost somewhere in the dash? I ask because whilst reception is
sometimes worse than i expect (not that i really have anything to
compare it to).
